Indoor positioning? Leave it to P-Square.

P-Square = Precise Positioning · Your Trustworthy Positioning Partner

That is also where our address, p2-positioning.com, comes from.

P-Square builds on its own patented high-accuracy indoor positioning algorithms — four in-house technologies:

AI FingerprintingHolds accuracy where partitions and metal cause heavy shadowing
UWB ToA / TDOA / PDOA10–30 cm positioning accuracy
Bluetooth 6.0 Channel SoundingPhase-based ranging replaces RSSI estimation for precise distance
Multi-sensor fusionMix technologies per site to balance cost and accuracy

Value for two kinds of partner:

Site owners

Semiconductor fabs, factories, hospitals, long-term care, logistics warehouses, retail, exhibition halls, airports… → see where people and assets are in real time, and improve safety, efficiency and management decisions.

Product manufacturers

IC design, Wi-Fi APs, IP cameras, industrial PCs, AGV / AMR, two-way radios… → embed positioning into an existing product and create added value and differentiation through co-creation.

★ Our goal: that customers say with pride — “our positioning system is P-Square enabled!”

Core technology: four characteristics of wireless positioning

Value for money

One locator can extend to four Bluetooth read heads, cutting the number of locators needed to roughly a fifth. Deployment and hardware cost drop sharply, and so does the cabling and maintenance burden.

One locator extending to four read heads: a ceiling-mounted central locator wired to four small read heads, each covering an area below
Easy to install

Locators can be mounted under raised floors or behind suspended ceilings — easy to install and invisible to the look of the site. Positioning can use a tag, an Android phone or an iPhone.

Installation locations: a cutaway of an office space with one locator fitted in the void beneath a raised access floor (one floor panel lifted to reveal it) and another sitting above a suspended ceiling grid (one tile slid aside to reveal it); each emits a cyan coverage cone that passes through the panel and the tile into the occupied space, which itself stays clean with no exposed equipment
Accurate and stable

AI Fingerprinting outperforms conventional trilateration in cluttered, partitioned environments, raising positioning accuracy and room-level accuracy by more than 30%.

AI Fingerprinting: a floor plan seen from above where each room carries its own distinctive pattern of signal-strength contours, like a radio fingerprint
Flexible

The algorithm supports several positioning technologies — Bluetooth RSSI, Bluetooth 6.0 Channel Sounding, Wi-Fi RSSI, UWB ToA, TDOA and PDOA — so each site gets the approach that suits it.

Support for multiple technologies: three sets of concentric waves of different wavelengths and colours emitted by three devices, converging into a single position result

Patents, awards and certification

Patent group A. Adaptive Pattern Matching (5 patents)

What it solves: indoors, partitions, metal equipment and human bodies make signal strength jump around. This group of patents lets the system recognise the signal signature of each room, so position and room assignment stay correct in cluttered environments — the technology behind our 30%+ improvement in room-level accuracy over conventional trilateration.

Multi-sensor fusion: translucent data streams arriving from different directions and merging into a single clear movement trajectory through an indoor space Patent group B. Sensor Fusion (3 granted + 2 pending)

What it solves: every single technology has a limit — Wi-Fi is cheap but coarse, UWB is precise but expensive. This group fuses RF (Wi-Fi / Bluetooth / UWB), vision and inertial (IMU) data probabilistically, and outputs the result best suited to the site.

Chosen in head-to-head evaluations at leading customers

In project evaluations at semiconductor and optoelectronics leaders, our positioning outperformed solutions from international networking vendors such as Cisco and Ruckus, and we won the contract. What decided it was solving the real site problems: non-line-of-sight obstruction, fluctuating signals and antenna variation between devices.

Co-creation: Triple Wins

A partnership only lasts if all three sides win — the partner (product differentiation), the customer (a high value-for-money solution) and P-Square (co-creating with partners and customers). That is the premise of every engagement; for the full partnership models, the split of responsibilities and how discussions run, see Partnership.

Work with P-Square

Whether you run a site and need a positioning solution, or you build products and want to add positioning, we would be glad to talk it through.
