Our radios already have GPS — why add indoor positioning?
Because most workplace incidents happen indoors. Plants, cleanrooms, tunnels, basements and large warehouses all block satellite signals, so the last reported position is often the door the worker walked through. Adding indoor positioning is what makes the product genuinely trackable everywhere.
Do we need to redesign the hardware?
Usually not. Most radios on the market already carry a Bluetooth module, so a firmware update with algorithm integration adds indoor positioning. A UWB module is only recommended where 10–30 cm accuracy is genuinely required. Because the algorithm is hardware independent, the choice follows the product's positioning.
What has to be deployed at the site?
It depends on the technology chosen. Wi-Fi positioning reuses the site's existing APs with no rewiring; Bluetooth requires Locators or beacons, and the P-Square Locator drives four read heads covering five points, cutting hardware volume to about a fifth; UWB requires anchors in critical areas only.
How does position data reach our existing dispatch platform?
P-Square provides RESTful API and iframe integration, so position and events (duress, boundary crossing, prolonged immobility) can be pushed to your platform in real time. If you have no back end, the P-Square RTLS web platform can be used directly.
Is this a module purchase relationship?
No. Our position is that you own the hardware and P-Square provides the positioning algorithm and software, with both parties selling together, bidding together or applying jointly for government grants. RF design, certification and channels are your expertise and we do not interfere.
