UWB PDOA (Phase Difference of Arrival) uses array antennas, so a single anchor resolves range and bearing at once — fewer installation points and lower cost, which suits large airport sites with phased budgets.
Do passengers need a dedicated app? What about privacy?
Passenger-side positioning uses either Wi-Fi AP or BLE beacon smartphone positioning. The position is computed on the handset before it is reported, so the architecture is distributed and scales as user numbers grow, and no passenger identity data is collected. Carts and staff use separate tags, entirely decoupled from passenger data.
Will metal structures and dense crowds degrade accuracy?
